The name says it all. Lands Legal deal with .. you guessed it property law. And they mainly deal with properties in Sydney.
The original concept fro this logo was to incorporate a city scape, which was a bit too cliche, so we moved towards more abstract shapes. The blocks made a good representation on buildings, and the horizontal line works as a horizon.
The Sydney Beach Volleyball School later became known as Beachvolleyball.com.au as it moved most of it’s operations to their website. www.beachvolleyball.com.au. This required a new logo. Same brief, but we had to incorporate the awkward shape of the new, one word, very long name…
I think this logo design is better than the original. It emphasises the core business more clearly, “Beach Volleyball” and it creates a more interesting typographic layout.
Applications: Again, just about everything that would hold ink…

Quite a few years ago now, I created the SBVBS logo. To be fair, the client had a lot of input so I can’t claim the concept as entirely my own. The design was based around three themes, a volleyball, the ocean and the sand. The shadow below the ball shows the contour of the sand, the volleyball itself is fairly self explanitory, and the colours are also quite obvious. Yellow sand and blue ocean and sky.
This design was thoroughly thought out and we went through at least 50 alternatives. (We came up with few other good devices in the process which I’ll post a bit later on.)
Applications: Business cards, signage, flyers, website, van signage, A-frames, volleyballs, clothing… in fact it was plastered on just about everything you can imagine.
